What does AI mean?

Artificial Intelligence could be described as the ability to understand, apply existing knowledge, and respond to a certain situation. Humans living in societies have adopted and shaped their intellect to behave and live in societies, by understanding actions and situations, interpreting them and responding to them.

In the mid-1950s the first attempt to test the concept was made by testing the “Logic Theorist” which aimed at impersonating human response and problem-solving skills. 

The following decades saw the rise of AI. With technology becoming accessible and faster, it became easier to program machines into storing commands, interpreting language and other aspects of human interaction. 

Later AI was implemented in the defense sector too. Today AI happens to be a pervasive concept ranging in multiple fields.
