What does ISKCON mean?

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness also known as ISKCON is the result of the Hare Krishna Movement happening worldwide since the 1900s. ISKCON is a part of the Gaudiya Vaishnava religious organization that follows particularly the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavata Purana.

Later in the twentieth century, the American and European devotees joined the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition and became a member of ISKCON.
