What does NCVT mean?

NCVT stands for National Council for Vocational Training. It is an advisory body that was set up in the year 1956. NCVT is a national-level body, responsible for coordinating vocational studies throughout India. It has regulated the training policies and curriculum of the training courses.

In the year 2018, the Government of India announced a change in the organization. Now, the National Council for Vocational Training and the National Skill Development Agency would be collectively known as the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).
