What does CTET mean?<\/h2>\n

CTET<\/strong> or Central Teacher Eligibility Test<\/strong> is a central-level examination for candidates who are interested in the teaching profession. It is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) twice a year for the selection of Primary School teachers (for classes 1 to 5) and Elementary School teachers (for classes 6 to 8). <\/p>\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n

The candidates must be a minimum of 17 years old and also there is no upper age limit. The basic requirement of CTET is a minimum 50% number in graduation. Also, the candidates should have completed B.Ed. <\/p>\n

Examination Pattern<\/h2>\n

CTET examination is conducted online as a Computer-based test. There are two papers – Paper I and Paper ll. Both papers have 150 MCQs each. There is 1 mark for each correct answer and no negative markings for any wrong answer. Paper l is conducted for the candidates applying for only Primary School teachers and Paper ll is conducted for the candidates applying for only Elementary School teachers. The candidates aspiring to compete in both categories are required to give both papers. <\/p>\n
