The full form of JD is Julian Date<\/strong>. A Julian Date is often used in Computers and astronomy. A Julian Day is the number of days passed since the inauguration of the Julian period. The Julian period runs in cycles of 7980 years and was invented by Joseph Scaliger in 1583.
