A member of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church is referred to as a Roman Catholic Syrian Christian (RCSC) or Syrian Catholic. The Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, situated in Kerala, India, is the second biggest Oriental Catholic

Church as well as a Major Archiepiscopal Church. It is a self-governing autonomous (sui iuris) specific church in full communion with the papacy and the universal Catholic Church, governed by the Law of Canons of the Eastern Churches (CCEO).
