RTL is the abbreviation for Register Transfer Level. It is employed in digital circuit design and is an abstraction technique that defines the digital portion of a design. It is prominently used in designing electronic systems and serves as a useful model for verification and design. It synchronizes the circuit in terms of digital signal flow between the different hardware registers.

RTL languages

RTL designs are generally created using a special hardware description language such as Verilog or VHDL.
