What does TEG mean?

TEG is the abbreviation for Thermoelectric Generator. They are solid-state semiconductor devices that are used for converting temperature difference and heat flow into useful direct current power sources.

The conversion to electrical energy takes place through a phenomenon known as the Seebeck effect, a form of thermoelectric effect. The voltage generated through these devices drives current and produced power at a load. They are quite similar to heat engines but have no moving parts and are less bulky than them.
