DIET, the full form of which is District Institute For Education And Training, are educational institutes of district level, which are established by the government of India in India’s every district.

The function of DIET is to coordinate & implement the policies of government at the district level. The government has given it the responsibility to attend to the needs of approximately 3 million teachers (primary & elementary) regarding the regular orientation to inventions in the school level teaching & learning.
